Diane and Max got married on the hottest day of the year. In Austin. Seriously. Their outdoor ceremony at the Allan House was bright and cheerful, with fabulous yellow touches throughout. Diane’s bridesmaids put together some absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements, being sure to include sunflowers in her bouquet (Max proposed in a sunflower field!). One of Diane’s favorite moments was dancing with her father. He had a stroke a few years ago, so the fact that he was able to walk her down the aisle and later dance with her, meant the world to Diane. Her one-of-a-kind dress was made by Vera Wang, and customized with her grandmother’s brooch. Max’s company, Mangia, catered (I may or may not have eaten three plates of the mashed potatoes…) Each layer of the cake (made by Holly Bland of Creative Confections) was a different, and irresistible, flavor. Italian cream, chocolate peanut-butter, and white cake with lemon-raspberry ganache! Yum. The bartender was Amy from Hill Country Events, and she was fantastic. After burning off all those calories on the dance floor, Diane and Max had a romantic pedicab getaway, complete with mini-champagne toast! We’re thrilled for this new family, and are trying to be patient about waiting for pictures from the honeymoon in Aruba!
