Laura and Brent were married at the enchanting Nature’s Point, on the shores of Lake Travis near Austin, TX. They actually met online, when Brent happened upon Laura’s Myspace page. He thought she was pretty, so he said ‘hi’. Although she was leery of meeting anybody from the internet, after a few months, she took a chance and invited him to her law school graduation party. Good thing – they’ve been inseparable ever since! These two live in California, so one of the things they enjoy doing together is riding their beach cruisers by the ocean. One day, Brent led the ride farther than they’d ever ridden before, and surprised Laura with a ring.![]()
The charming and hardworking Lindsay Blackwell coordinated the entire wedding. Michelle’s Patisserie designed a very cool “Frank Lloyd Wright-esque” three-tier cake. Glass Fountain created the cute hot pink bouquets (that matched the groomsmen’s socks!). Dagar’s catered the delicious meal (we loved the martini glass salads). Amy’s Ice Cream (seriously, need I say more?) created quite the traffic jam. Byrne Rock got everybody onto the dance floor, and kept them out there (to work off the ice cream, of course). Laura wore a gorgeous Manuel Mota for Pronovias.
After this amazing party, Laura and Brent are off to enjoy their honeymoon: they’ll visit the Harry Potter park at Universal Studios in Orlando, then continue on to Barbados, Bequia, and finally Mustique! Have fun, guys!!!

Wow, does our wedding feels like a blur! I am so happy with how beautiful these pictures are… it has been great going through these and the extended edition to help remember just how much fun everything was. To our vendors thanks for making it possible, more importantly to our guests whom we truly hope had great fun w/ us — THANK YOU for coming out!!!
We know so many of you traveled long distances and it was amazing to see you. Wish we could have visited with everyone more, talked more, danced more and eaten more flavors of cake and ice cream but the time just flew on by. Perhaps we’ll just have to get everyone back together again for the 10th anniversary bash!
